HOW TO IDENTIFY POISON IVY

Do you want to know if a plant is poison ivy?

Remember these 3 things:

FURRY ROPE, DON'T BE A DOPE

When growing up a tree, poison ivy will often have a quite large, very furry looking vine where the leaves branch off of.

LEAVES OF THREE, LET IT BE

Poison ivy has groups of three leaves that come off a branch.

LONGER MIDDLE STEM, DON'T TOUCH THEM

The three leaves are grouped so that the central or middle stem is longer than the stems to the two side leaves.

Also Remember:

Poison ivy can grow on the ground. It does not just grow as a vine up a tree or other structure.
